18 U.S.C. § 2257 Record-Keeping Requirements Compliance Statement

APEX Adult Studios LLC requires every performer appearing in visual depictions of actual or simulated sexually explicit conduct on this Service to have been at least 18 years old at the time of production. Records required by 18 U.S.C. §§ 2257–2257A and 28 C.F.R. Part 75 are maintained for covered depictions.

The records themselves are confidential and are not published on this website. This statement identifies only the custodian and location that federal law requires to be disclosed for covered material.

Custodian and location of records

Record scope

Required records include the performer’s legal name and date of birth, a legible copy of the identification document examined before production, all known aliases or professional names, the production date, and an index connecting each performer to the applicable title, content identifier, and URL or other online locator. Records are segregated from unrelated business records and maintained in a form the custodian can authenticate.

Exempt material

To the extent any visual depiction on the Service is exempt from or not subject to 18 U.S.C. §§ 2257–2257A and 28 C.F.R. Part 75, no statement is made that federal law requires records for that depiction. APEX may still require identity, age, and consent documentation as a matter of policy.
